Scholarships
Scholarship amounts, fee waivers and processing times describe a commercial relationship. They publish only once the agreement with the institution is signed.
05Format and attendance
Annual travel burden: about 3 round trips a year, roughly $750 - $1,800 per year. Travel is often larger than the tuition gap between two schools, so we compute it rather than leaving you to.
06CPT policy
Current F-1 and OPT students, overseas applicants and change-of-status applicants may be authorized for CPT from day one. CPT is renewed every semester with an employer-signed agreement, requires a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and is not required for graduation.
Integral CPT is only lawful when the employment is a required, credit-bearing part of your program of study, authorized on your I-20 by the DSO, and matched by continuous full-time enrollment. Twelve or more months of full-time CPT at one degree level removes OPT eligibility at that level.

08Institution FAQs
- Can I apply any time of the year?
- Yes. Westcliff runs multiple start dates each year, with Fall I 2026, Fall II 2026 and Spring I 2027 currently open. New F-1 applicants apply well ahead of the start date, while F-1 transfer students can apply up to the term start date.
- Can students on CPT still participate if on approved vacation?
- Yes. Students may take one term off after three consecutive terms and can apply for CPT work authorization during the vacation period.
- Which programs are offered with Hybrid CPT format?
- The MBA (STEM and Non-STEM), MS Computer Science, MS Information Technology, MS Engineering Management, MA TESOL, Doctor of Business Administration and the bachelor's programs are all available in the hybrid format with integrated CPT options.
- What about onsite attendance requirements?
- The professional format requires one onsite residency session per semester, running Friday afternoon through Sunday midday at your chosen campus. The weekly format has an onsite class every week and is priced lower per credit.
- Can CPT be renewed, and is there flexibility?
- CPT is renewed every semester with an employer-signed CPT Agreement, or an Employment Verification Letter when the employer cannot sign. Apply at least two weeks before the semester starts and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Where are the program campuses located?
- Westcliff has locations in Southern California, Northern California, Florida and Texas, so students can choose the campus closest to where they live and work.
- What is the Stackable DBA at Westcliff University?
- The Stackable DBA lets students build toward the doctorate in stages, so completed coursework counts toward the next credential rather than being repeated, which keeps the doctoral pathway flexible for working professionals.
